Amarant holds a very special place in my heart because it was where I held my first retreat many moons ago!
From the moment you leave the city behind and you see the lushness of the Yarra Valley the relaxation process begins and when you arrive at Amarant you know that you are going to be taken care of.
Each retreat has it’s own vibe and this one was ‘honest, simple + real’….
The women came from their hearts, they spoke from their hearts, a quiet presence with each other, happy to spend time alone with a book or journal ~ they kept it all very real. It was a retreat based on the soul qualities of honesty, truth and presence and I am forever humble that I have had this opportunity to lead such a retreat.
I create the Feminine Retreats intuitively and the word “vibrancy” kept coming to me so I knew that this was theme du jour!
My intention was to restore “vibrancy from core to surface” utilizing the beauty of colour through rainbow living food, clothing, nature, inspirational cards, chakra awareness and visualization. By Sunday the gals were adorning bright colours + looking fabulous!
We were also blessed to have the divine healing hands of Colour + Intuitive Massage Therapist Susan Morrow who shared her passion of colour with her playshop ‘You are the colours you choose’…. She shared wisdom, insights + inspiration for us all and we were all totally transfixed by it all. We also enjoyed a mini creative writing session.
We enjoy our yoga in a beautiful space that overlooks the Yarra Valley and if you join me for Pop Up Yoga you know how much I love teaching in nature. The Yoga space is as close to being in nature as possible…
The benefits of a retreat are heightened when you have a massage and the gals loved their Intuitive Colour Massage where along with a divine massage colour was infused into your energy field. They all looked totally blissed out after their 1 1/4 massage!
Susan has been requested for next years retreat already!
Chef Ian kept us nourished with delicious meals, smoothies + snacks and food is a big part of my Retreats at Amarant. There is something so nourishing to be cooked for, to eat at a beautifully set table and then to not have to clean up!
We discovered new ways to prepare + present healthy food. Our meals were often enjoyed in silence because we were so into the food + flavours.
With lots of time to rest, snooze, read or pop into the country towns for a latte – there was something for everybody.
Our weekend sojourn at Amarant Retreat is a true retreat because you have the ability to step away from the busy-ness of life into a rural setting that just naturally quietens you down. It is one of my own highlights for my year coming to spend a weekend in the beauty + serenity of Amarant.
The gals all returned to their lives looking + feeling like a new woman…
